A movement workshop that invites participants into rich and intuitive movement, while observing their own movement patterns and habits. Through the workshop, we will reflect upon what we want to keep and what we would like to stop.

19th July 2023: Through your Voice
In this mini presentation, we will introduce the basics of songwriting, including terminology and processes. Participants will be instructed to download the Voloco app and set it up for the session. They will then listen to a guided instrumental track and jot down ideas for their song. Finally, they will be guided to record their own song using the app.

Materials required: Pen, Paper, Phone (with Voloco app), Headphones/Earbuds, Google Account

2nd August 2023: Let's Drum Together!
Join us for a fun percussion music workshop where you can discover different beats and rhythms. This interactive session aims to promote wellbeing by fostering self-awareness and social awareness. Through learning various percussion rhythms, you'll not only explore your own musical abilities but also understand how you collaborate with others.

Materials required: NIL - Different percussion instruments will be provided!

This is experiential workshop will tap your curiosity and engage you in discussion about the ageing population.

RepeatStopGo [22nd of June 2023 - 12:00pm - 1:00pm]

Faye Lim is the co-director of Derring-Do Dance, she makes body-based artworks and programmes for diverse children and their families. She has facilitated and taught dance improvisation and contact improvisation in Singapore and regionally. Her choreography and direction (for performance and for camera), collaborations and commissions have been presented in schools, community places, public spaces, stages, galleries, and exhibitions in Singapore, internationally and online.

Through your Voice [19th of July 2023 - 1:00pm - 2:00pm]

Kotoji, the solo moniker of Anjila Lim, is a Singaporean independent singer-songwriter musician. With introspective and honest lyrics, she combines a bright, indie rock power pop sound to express the youthful essence within even the weightiest adult experiences. Kotoji's musical journey began at the age of 4. She expanded her skills at the Academy of Rock, studying guitar, bass, and vocals from the age of 11. Pursuing higher education in the UK, she obtained a BA (Hons) in Education, Culture and Childhood, as well as an MA in Digital Media, Culture, and Education. Returning to Singapore, Kotoji kickstarted her music career in 2020 and contributed her songwriting talents to other emerging artists in the scene.

Let's Drum Together [ 2nd of August 2023 - 2:00pm - 3:00pm]

Saedah Samat-Alkaff gained recognition as the music arranger and composer for Makanplace by ACT 3. Her musical journey began at the age of 8, when she embarked on learning the Piano and Electone. She later achieved a music diploma from the Royal School of Music and a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education with Psychology from The Singapore University of Social Sciences. For the past 34 years, Saedah has been a dedicated teacher at Yamaha Music School, while also showcasing her talents as an arranger, composer, and music director for various notable school groups and theatre companies.

Emotions and its impact in my World  [16th of August 2023 - 1:00pm - 2:00pm]

Debbie Woodford has more than 30 years of varied experiences working with children, youths and adults, empowering them to be the best versions of themselves. Debbie is a highly experienced drama educator with additional training and certification in social & emotional learning and neurolinguistic programming. She has an ability to connect almost instantly with any group of learners or life explorers through her animated character. Her innate observational skills and ability to identify emotional needs in learners in her classroom forms her guiding light as she steers her facilitation when executing workshops.
